Biographical Notes A feminist Labour Councillor 1980s. Trish worked as a journalist at the Telegraph and Argus when she became a Labour councillor in 1984 aged 26. Within the council she was the chair of the housing committee and a member of the Sex Equality Advisory Group. During her time as chair of Bradford Women’s Aid Management Committee a refuge for battered women opeded in the city. She also was vice-chair of Bradford Labour Women’s council and a former chair of the Bradford branch of the National Union of Journalists. Other appointments include governor of Lidget Green Middle School, Great Horton Middle School and Grange Upper School. She stood down from the Council in 1990.
