| Biographical Notes | Founded the Bradford Diabetic Society (1957). In 1955 Lousie from Bradford was diagnosed diabetic and two years later she founded the Bradford Diabetic Society. In 1962 she began working as the British Diabetic Association’s (BDA) North East regional representative and in 1987 she was made an honorary life member of the BDA. In her time working for the BDA she has seen the number of branches grow from 45 to 300. |
