Biographical Notes Social welfare worker. Born c1879. Died 1968, aged 89. Married Frederick Burnley, a Bradford woolman.

In 1908, with other social welfare workers in Bradford, discovered that many disabled children in Bradford were not in school. Together with * Miriam Lord and * Martha Leach, she convinced the Bradford Education Committee to build the Lister Lane School. For the six years the school was under construction she and her group 'The Lantern Bearers' taught disabled children in Bradford. The school opened in 1914.
