Member of the first all woman team to conquer both the north and south poles (Jan 2000). Born c1967 in Bradford. In 1997 Ann reached the North Pole as part of a 20 women strong relay team. She was one of the five from that team who reached the South Pole in January 2000. The women had to pull 150lb sledges for up to 10 hours a day on the 695-mile trek at temperatures as low as minus 50 degrees Centigrade. It took them 60 days to reach the pole. Zoë Hudson, a physiotherapist from Leeds was also part of the team.
