Biographical Notes	Community activist. Born in Edinburgh c1934. Died in 1987. Married Tom Brown. Kathleen started working for Rotherham Council in the 1970s. She later joined the Council for Community Relations and was Rotherham’s Community Relations officer for a year. c1976 she joined the Citizens Advice Bureau and became its organiser a year later. She continued in that role until her death in 1987. She was also a founder member and secretary of the Rotherham Association for Battered Wives. Other memberships include the Marriage Guidance Council. She was posthumously awarded Rotherham’s Citizen of the Year in October 1987.
